→Doda students shine in Display Your Talent at University of Jammu
GDC The students of GDC brought laurels to their institution in the recently concluded Display Your Talent which was held at University of Jammu. More than thirty colleges and off-site campuses of Jammu Division participated in the said event.
From Doda an eight member team of students along with an escort teacher Prof Zain Bin Hussain was flagged off by Dr Jamsheed Ahmad Convener Debate/Culture Committee under the supervision of Dr Shafqat Hussain Rafiqi Principal GDC Doda. The students participated in Monoacting, Painting, Debate, Photography, Sketching and Poster Making. Kajal Sombria and Asif Attaullah got first and third position in Monoacting respectively whereas Amir Hussain bagged third position in painting competition. Idrees Ahmed added another feather to the cap by sharing first position with Seerat from University of Jammu in the debate competition. More than 80 students from colleges across the state participated in the debate competition.
It is apposite to mention here that GDC Doda bagged overall second position in the recently concluded youth festival SANGAM which was held at Bhaderwah Campus of Jammu University. The college got eight gold and seven silver medals in different categories. More than 30 colleges and off-site campuses participated in that mega event which witnessed the participation of more than one thousand students.
On their arrival from the University of Jammu, the students were accorded a warm welcome by the principal and the staff members. The Principal congratulated the convener and the members of Debate and Culture Committee and assured that more steps would be taken to provide exposure to the students at state and national level.

A debate competition was organised by Range Police Headquarters Batote at Govt. Degree College Doda on "Menance of Drugs:Serious Threat to the Nation" on 25th April 2015.

World AIDS Day celebrated at GDC Doda on 1st December, where Chief guest was Col. Sunil Mishra Commandent 10RR, Resource person Dr. Anayat lone, pathologist and Presiding officer Prof. Syed Z.A.Hashmi, Principal GDC Doda. The Programme was organised by Red Ribbon Club GDC Doda in association with J&K AIDS Society under the supervision of Nodal officer Dr. Wahied Khawar Balwan, Asstt. professor of Zoology.
