DEPARTMENT OF BOTANY
The Department of Botany of this college was established in the year 2001. Presently there is 01 permanent faculty members and two contractual to teach three Botany classes of B.Sc. Part-I, II and III. The department also has ministerial staff to assist the teachers in the teachings. The department has established laboratory wherein different species, models and charts of plants have been kept. Moreover the staff and students have been participating in extracurricular activities. The department has track result of above 80% for last 2 years. Lastly, the department has maintained its reputation and is on the path of progress.
Botany is of great economic value. It is of great advantage to man in several ways. It is an essential background for the study of Horticulture, agriculture etc. It also provides variety of jobs like teaching, research and employment in industries.
