Department of Environmental Sciences Government Degree College Doda and NCC unit GDC Doda in collaboration with State pollution Control Board organised an awareness program on World  Environment day on the theme " Ending plastic pollution globally" here in college campus. The programme was held under the patronage of Dr Javid Iqbal Principal of the college. Prof Purnima Manhas HOD EVS GDC Doda Was host of the event. Program Officer ICDS DODA Shri Paramjeet Singh was chief guest of the event,Shri Gurpreet Singh Divisional officer State pollution Control board was guest of honour. Prof Rahul Kumar Assistant Professor Environmental Sciences delivered a lecture on topic " plastic problem and ways to reduce it". Shri Paramjeet Singh Programme officer ICDS Doda In his address informed the students various schemes  in field of waste recycling and employment generation. Prof Davinder Kumar HOD Botany in his speech highlighted the need to reduce plastic pollution for sustainable future. Vote of thanks were presented  by Shri Gurpreet Singh Divisional Officer State Pollution Control board. In the end a plantation drive was held in the college.
