DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE
The Department of Political Science is the foundational department of the college established with the establishment of the college in the year 1989. The department has grown by leaps and bounds and occupies a vantage position in the college. The student's intake and output of the department is one of the highest in the college making it one of the biggest departments of the college. The department of political Science is known not only for imparting quality education and theoretical frameworks, but also for the development of active citizenry and understanding of political concepts. The department has a vibrant deliberative culture and rich legacy of political brainstorming which aids the strengthening of democratic setup and culture in society.
The chief markers and variables of the department of Political Science are its academic achievements and excellence along with the chiseling of students for extra-curricular activities. The Department conducts seminars, workshops, debates, discussions, youth parliament, quiz competitions and exploits the audio-visual and virtual resources available for learning. The Department has produced many college rank holders and illustrious alluminis who are pursuing their careers in higher education from prestigious institutions and form part of academia, civil and military services. The department is a pioneer and torchbearer in devising innovative methods of teaching and learning and has set examples of participatory teaching, for others to emulate. The department endeavors to adopt new technology and the usage of internet of things for consolidating the techniques of study and learning in the benefit of students.

Vision and Mission
The department of political Science envisions the development and fashioning of student faculties and personalities by imparting quality education. The department aims at contributing to an active citizenry and that its students attain high offices in Government and Non-Government sectors. The department envisions to create a research center with the aim of understanding the local as well as national political events and arena, in order to transform the learning of the discipline from theoretical perspective to an applied and policy science
